INSTRUCTOR:

This advanced course is designed to equip clinicians with the skills and confidence to treat complex orthodontic cases using clear aligner therapy. Emphasis is placed on accurate diagnosis, appropriate case selection, sound biomechanical planning, and the strategic use of auxiliaries to expand the capabilities of aligners beyond routine cases.
Class II malocclusions represent one of the most common scenarios in which clear aligner treatment becomes challenging, often due to increased tray numbers and patient compliance concerns. Clinical evidence will be presented demonstrating that addressing the AP discrepancy at the beginning of treatment (when patient compliance is typically highest) results in greater efficiency, reduced treatment time, and improved long-term stability.
Participants will learn practical, clinically applicable protocols for managing challenging malocclusions while improving predictability, efficiency, and overall treatment outcomes.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Evaluate and diagnose complex orthodontic cases, including Class II malocclusions, to determine appropriate treatment options using clear aligner and hybrid approaches.
• Develop clear aligner treatment plans that incorporate biomechanical principles and the use of auxiliaries to improve treatment efficiency and predictability in complex cases.
• Apply protocols for early anteroposterior correction to reduce overall treatment time, enhance patient compliance, and improve long-term treatment stability.
• Assess treatment progress and manage complications commonly encountered in complex clear aligner cases, including tracking issues and extended treatment duration.
