This course will provide the information necessary to diagnose and treat TMD problems. Treatment guidelines for determining the splint position will be discussed – including the rationale and documentation for the guidelines. Ancillary modalities utilized in the treatment of the TMD/pain patient will be demonstrated- including adjustments to the splints, medications, injections, and physical therapy. Phase II treatment finishing methods also will be demonstrated including orthopedic and orthodontic appliances.
