May 18, 2025 @ 7:00 am – 12:00 pm
INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Bruce Gallant
This course will review introductory concepts related to early Orthodontic treatment. Emphasis is placed on the management of the more advanced orthopedic functional appliances. Cephalometric analyses that are useful in orthopedic treatment will also be reviewed. The diagnosis and treatment of TMD in children and young adults will also be examined.
Upon completion of this course the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
- Define a treatment plan for advanced malocclusions that are best resolved with early Orthodontic intervention.
- Identify the development of the cervical vertebrae on a cephalometric x-ray and use that information to determine approximately how much and when a patient will grow.
- Diagnose and describe treatment options for TMD in growing patients.
