Description

At the end of this course the participant will be able to describe, prescribe and/or carry out periodontal, restorative, surgical or orthodontic procedures related to:

  • Esthetic finishing at the maxillary mid-line
  • Closing the maxillary midline diastema
  • Frenectomy
  • Clinical ankalosis
  • Management of the high labially impacted (ectopically erupting)
  • Maxillary cuspid management of the palatally impacted cuspid
  • Periodontal surgical crown extension techniques
  • Orthodontic extrusion
  • Orthodontic eruption of the individual teeth
  • Intrusion
  • Orthodontic treatment of molars with periodontal bone loss in the furcation
  • Occlusal attrition and orthodontic deep bite
  • Oral hygiene and periodontal diseases in the orthodontic patient
  • Periodontal considerations in orthodontic and orthopedic expansion
  • Retention and relapse of rotated teeth
  • Recession, attached gingiva, advancement of teeth, and the orthodontist's periodontal exam
  • Root resorption
  • Crown contours
