Description

With the modern straight wire appliance system, wire bending necessary for orthodontic treatment has been minimized. However, some wire bending can greatly improve orthodontic treatment results. In this course, you will learn some basic and advanced wire bending techniques. These techniques can be applied to any mechanics system.

In this course, you will see and do these wire bends:

  1. Wire bends (center, off center, and steps) for molar control
  2. Utility arch fabrication and adjustment
  3. Rocking chair curve and tipbacks for bite opening
  4. Arch width control
  5. Finishing bends
